March 2008: SafeAssign in Online@UT
Our Tip of the Month for March introduces SafeAssign in Online@UT. SafeAssign is a software resource designed to help students avoid plagiarism and improper citation. The software encourages original writing and proper citation practices by cross-referencing submitted materials against other submitted papers, the Internet, and numerous published journal, newspaper, and magazine articles. The SafeAssign tool is fully integrated into Online@UT and does not require any additional software. SafeAssign can deter plagiarism by creating opportunities to educate students on proper attribution and citation, while providing a powerful tool to detect blatant plagiarism in student papers. You will find a SafeAssign How-To Guide and other resources on this page to help you use SafeAssign in Online@UT.
This movie is approximately four minutes long.
