Operating Systems
Blackboard officially supports the Microsoft Windows XP and Mac OS X (version 10.3 or higher) operating systems. While Windows Vista has been deemed "compatible" by Blackboard, UT's Office of Information Tecnology does not recommend using Vista at this time. If you use Windows Vista and experience problems with Online@UT, we will do our best to help resolve the issue. Please report problems from our contact form.Browsers
There are three browsers currently supported by Blackboard: Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari.For users of all other operating systems and browsers, some features and tools might work, others might not. While we cannot offer technical assistance for unsupported systems, we will do everything possible to help users find a solution.

Browser Configurations
There are certain browser settings that are required for the Blackboard software to work; luckily, each of the supported browsers has the correct default settings.- Cookies - must be enabled to allow a secure login
- Java and Javascript - must be active for many communication tools to function properly
